Turning On the Projector

  1. Flip the main power switch. (1)
  2. Plug the HDMI cable in to the wall port. (2)
  3. Connect your computer
  4. Using the Remote (3) turn on the projector.

 

Turning Off the Projector

  1. Turn off the projector by pressing the red button on the remote control twice.
  2. Wait until the orange light on the projector stops blinking. DO NOT FLIP THE MAIN POWER SWITCH BEFORE THE LIGHT STOPS BLINKING OR YOU WILL DAMAGE THE PROJECTOR!
  3. Disconnect the HDMI cable by holding down the black jack (2) before pulling the cable out.
  4. Flip the main power switch. (1)
  5. Put the remote control back in its receptacle. (3)

 

Connecting without Wires

Android and Windows (Miracast) | iOS and Mac (AirPlay)

Connecting Android or Windows via Miracast

You can connect wirelessly to the projector using the Miracast standard on your Windows or Android device.

  1. Make sure the screen looks like below. If it does not, press the button (4) on the receiver.
  2. On Windows 10, do the following:
    1. Open Settings and select System.
    2. Scroll to the bottom of the Display screen and click on Connect to a Wireless Display
    3. When the sidebar opens, click on MONTOVIEW-9A07EC.
    4. Click the Connect button. Watch the instructions on the screen.
  3. On Android, do the following:
    1. Open Settings > Display.
    2. Tap Cast Screen and turn it On, if necessary.
    3. Tap MONTOVIEW-9A07EC and wait for your screen to be transmitted.

Connecting iOS Devices or Macs via AirPlay

Troubleshooting

1. My computer is not projecting, even though it’s plugged into the HDMI port!

  • Try pressing the HDMI button on the remote control. It should detect your computer and display the screen.
  • Make sure your computer is set to either mirror or extend to another screen. (Windows: Settings > Display | Mac: System Preferences > Display)
  • Try a different HDMI cable.

2. I can’t hear any sound from the sound system.

  • Follow the instructions on the sound system to turn it on properly.
  • Make sure the ON button for channel 15/16 is turned on and the gray slider has been moved up.
  • Make sure your computer is set to play to Digital Out or BenQ MW705.
